Conaty: What we focus on are things that go on outside of school. So things that go on either after school, summer camps,museums and science centers Really, 95 percent of science learning occurs outside the classroom, so we really want to take advantage of that. First we have our visitor center where we get about anywhere between 35 and 40 thousand visitors each year. We can bring the latest stuff that goes on, the work and the people of Goddard, right to the visitor center. So one fun program that we've been running for the last couple of years is called theSunday Experiment. On the third Sunday of every month, we do hands-on activities for elementary-aged students and their families from 1 to 3PM. So our goal is to kind of take that great excitement that NASA always generates and really seek to add learning to it.
