[Music] NASA's newest temperature-sensing instrument passed its tests and is ready for space. The Thermal Infrared Sensor 2 (TIRS-2) was built at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and will measure water use in agricultural fields. Plants and soil give off water, cooling the field TIRS-2 will measure temperature across the globe, tracking ice TIRS-2 will measure temperature across the globe, tracking ice, fires, TIRS-2 will measure temperature across the globe, tracking ice, fires, volcanoes, and more. After its testing, TIRS-2 is sent off for the next stage to be assembled onto the Landsat 9 spacecraft.
