Hurricane Gilbert from GOES: September 12-13, 1988
Hurricane Gilbert was one of the strongest hurricanes ever seen in the Atlantic, with winds up to 184 miles per hour. It devastated Jamaica before coming to land at the Yucatan Peninsula.
