Tour of the Moon: Additional Footage
This is additional footage produced for the narrated version of Tour of the Moon. It supplements the visualizations in entry 3874.
Orientale. The view matches the original tour, but the Sun has been moved to increase relief and contrast in the terrain.
Orientale. Looking straight down, the view slowly backs away to reveal Orientale in the context of the full lunar globe.
Shackleton. A flyover near the surface that peers into the permanently shadowed floor of the crater.
Apollo 17 landing site. The view matches the original tour. The font of the labels has been changed, and the camera lingers at the end rather than immediately zooming out.
Taurus-Littrow. A wide view of the valley where Apollo 17 landed, with a low Sun angle.
Tsiolkovsky slow fly-in.
Tsiolkovsky, slow flyover facing south, with changing sunrise shadows.
Compton-Belkovitch. A slow push-in with slowly evolving evening shadows.
Jackson. A slow fly-in, with a Sun angle similar to that used for the LROC WAC global mosaic.
